Keenan had traveled...who knows where. He had gotten lost the past week, and had no idea where he had run into. And his phone had died, so he had idea which direction to go. If only Aaron was still around. Kee had realized quickly how much he had relied on his little brother. It was...kind of unfair, if he was being honest with himself. He needed to learn to be a more reliable adult. Well, that was partially what this adventure was for, he guessed. But the blonde couldn't help but think that maybe he was failing his Pokemon in a way, too. His Houndour seemed to have picked this up as well, and had been trying to cheer him up.

Although, things seemed to have taken a turn for the better, when Keenan heard a yell. Both him and Houndour looked at each other before heading towards the noise. When the got there, there was a guy in travel gear with a Lycanroc. The guy was face planted in the dirt. Kee had to be a bit of a sight, hair frazzled, clothes dirty, and he probably smelled due to not having a proper bath in a while. Still, Kee slid down the small hill he was on. "Are you all right?!"

The guy yelled about a...Barbaracle? Looking over, he saw the arm of what he assumed was a Pokemon. Soon, he traced the arm to a sleeping thing. Taking out his phone and pokedex, he found out what it was. It was...interesting to say the least. He would have for it if the guy just told him to hold on while he tried his luck. Pouting, Keenan was still a good sport. "Good luck." The guy seemed way too energetic, particularly for one that just faceplanted into the earth. Keenan just sat down on a rock, with Houndour sitting down at his feet.

An Alcremie walked past them, looked at them, then walked on. Completely unperturbed. Keenan just sighed. That type of pokemon looked more like a meal than an actual Pokemon. Not cool at all. So, he just waited to see if this guy caught his cool new rock/water type...

@mattis CAUGHT THE BARBARACLE

Kee waved it off. He was busy, after all. "Don't worry about it. I'm Keenan...and I got horribly lost out in the wilds...glad to know what route I'm on...um...if you don't mind...can you take me to the nearest town or city after you're done here? My phone died, so I really don't have a way to find myself back to civilization..." Clumsy idiot, but seemed okay. Keenan was embarrassed about saying anything though. Even as the guy dug out some tissues to stuff his bloody nose. His Houndour stiffened and looked back, even as Mattis said something.

Looking back, there was a wild Aron walking by. "Oh, an Aron. My baby bro would love it..." Aaron adored ghost and steel types. He was so happy to get a Honedge. Rustling from above, showed a Zweilous. That was rare. And both heads looked straight at him, then started to go after them aggressively. His Houndour immediately jumped in front of him and used ember. The attack seemed to stop it temporarily, but a blue flame came at them. Kee went to his left, while Houndour went right. The dragon slid down and went after the blonde.

"Houdour, use fire fang!" The dog pokemon charged with glowing red fangs, and bit one of the dragon's legs. And pulled and tossed it away. The hostile pokemon landed on its feet and let out a booming screech, a Hyper Voice attack. The trees shuttered from the sound, and even knocked Kee down on his butt as Houndour cringed and backed off. He used Leer to make Zweilous stop and stand down a little, and lowered its defense some. The dragon rushed forward and hit Houndour twice. But the puppy recovered fast, and used another fire fang, this time latching onto one of the Pokemon's necks. Then tossed it right into a tree. It twitched a little and struggled to get back up.

Kee took out a pokeball and threw it. Now, was he going to get another powerhouse?

Keenan Toral CAUGHT THE ZWEILOUS!

The Lycanroc gave it's trainer a rather interesting look. One that made both Kee and Houndour look at each other. Was this really a good idea? But on the bright side..."Wait, Rustboro? I was heading there to challenge a gym!" The blonde flailed a little bit, and was overly excited. But first, he needed to get there, and rest, and shower, and eat. That is, of course, if he could get this guy to take him there. But alas, he just waited. Of course the Aron got hostile. And attacked the rock of doggo. The poor little guy barely did a thing to the fellow rock-type. The guy went into battle with the little Pokemon. But there was something else he needed...a name.

"Soooo I don't mean to distract you...but what's your name?" Then maybe they'll be set. But for now, he just waited patiently with his own doggo sitting beside him again.

Keenan finally got a name. "I think I'll go with Mattie if that's cool." The blonde simply nodded in confirmation. It was fine. After all, who knows how many people you'll meet? Or someone that was legitimately bad at names. They soon found another couple of Pokemon. A Crustle and a Flabebe. Neither of which he was interested in. "If you want that mud crab, go right ahead. I'm just going to sit this one out..." Unless he was attacked. But Flabebe weren't normally hostile. And this one fit the mold. It just twirled on around him and Houndour before leaving peacefully. Kee did decide to recall his puppy. Poor thing was banged up. In exchange, he sent out Spheal. He was much more rested, plus had the right typing for what seemed to be more common around here.

He just waited and watched Mattie and Lycanroc fight a Crustle. Hopefully it wouldn't take long and they can get going. He really wanted to be in town by dark...
